Xiaomi has launched the Mi 9 Pro 5G with some souped-up specifications compared to the Mi 9. Apart from the usual upgrades, the device has something that defines its existence differently. It comes with 30W wireless fast-charging tech and 40W wired fast-charging tech and this makes the device to stand apart.
As the name of the device Mi 9 Pro 5G implies, it gets a boost in the connectivity area as well, thanks to a 5G modem. Xiaomi claims the device was able to achieve download speeds of up to 1.78Gbps when it underwent some field tests.
According to the company’s claims, the 40W wired charger can charge the Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G from 0 to 100 percent in just 48 minutes. It also supports 30W wireless charging with the company’s proprietary chargers. The best part is the phone supports 10W reverse charging which means you can charge other Qi-charging supported device as well.
The 30W wireless charging support is available via a dedicated stand which is rated to full-charge a device with 4000mAH battery in 69 minutes. And, the wired one can do the same in a mere 48 minutes.
