25 September 2019 0

Amazon at its September 2019 hardware event has announced its first Echo wearable called the Echo Buds which are truly wireless earbuds. The new wearable lets the consumers have hands-free access to Alexa, on-the-go. And, this feature works exactly the same way as any other Alexa-powered device, you just have to say the wake word which is Alexa to ask the Echo Buds about anything.

Amazon says the Echo Buds hold balanced armature drivers, something that professional musicians like it. According to Amazon, these two premium drivers ensure crisp and clear vocals as well as dynamic bass.

Amazon promises 5 hours of battery life with the Echo Buds and up to 20 hours of battery with the case. Amazon also announces that attaining the noise cancellation is critical and that’s why it’s working with Bose to incorporate Bose Active Noise Reduction technology into Echo Buds. Interesting enough, you can turn on and off the noise reduction while you navigate. You just have to double-tap to enable or disable the feature if you want to hear the world around you.

During the event, Amazon shared some of the examples where the hands-free Alexa could be really helpful. Amazon has partnered with Whole Foods team to let you do shopping on the go. You can ask Alexa if Whole Foods has a particular supply in stock. If available you can further ask your questions like where you can find them.

The price of the Echo Buds is $129.99 and it's available for pre-order today and the shipping will start in October.
