OnePlus 7T sits between the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro with the right amount of features to justify its price tag. It isn’t as simple as the OnePlus 7 nor it’s exquisite as OnePlus 7 Pro. The OnePlus 7T is subtle yet stylish with all the features that you might have desired. But still, we wish to have wireless charging on board. OnePlus hasn’t made this feature available to the device for a reason and it has spoken about the same during the roundtable press conference at OnePlus 7T launch.
The tech site 91Mobiles managed to inquire about this insufficiency from the company’s CEO Pete Lau. He revealed the company wants the wireless charging standard on OnePlus phones to be at par with its Warp Charging tech. According to what has been reported, OnePlus is still toying around with the idea while staying true to its ‘Never Settle’ motto. It’s currently dealing with the crucial factors associated with the wireless charging technology, like hearting issues. This is the reason, the latest model skips on this feature.
Most Chinese smartphone companies, especially Xiaomi, Vivo, and Oppo, well, if we need to highlight some of them, have been doing innovations which make them ahead of others. But not every company is as hurry as them in bringing or adopting new tech.
Xiaomi might be bringing new things in the market like the 30W wireless fast-charging tech and becoming the first of first things but not every company has the same agenda to launch something for the sake of just becoming the first in the industry. Other companies from the same country, like OnePlus, is taking its own time and moving ahead with its “Never Settle” motto quite swiftly and it doesn’t bother about the new things that keep coming in the industry.
OnePlus 7T is one of the best offerings in Android phones currently and the Warp Charge 30T is enough to speed up the charging process. So, the wireless charging may not bother the buyers as long as the fast charging tech is there with them.
