The Oppo K5 is the latest mid-range smartphone from the brand with the quad rear camera setup. It has currently been announced in China at the same event where we saw the unveiling of the Reno Ace. One special thing about the smartphone is that it is one of the few devices in the market with a 64-megapixel primary camera.
In terms of technical specifications, the Oppo K5 sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a small dot-like notch. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor coupled with 6GB and 8GB of RAM. There are 128GB and 256GB internal storage options but a total of three configuration variants which we will talk about later.
The quad rear camera setup includes a 64-megapixel Samsung GW1 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens (119-degree Field of View) with f/2.25 aperture, a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel 4cm macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, it has a 32-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The Oppo K5 is packed with a 4,000mAh battery with 30W VOOC 4.0 fast charging support. It will be running ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie out of the box. Some other noteworthy features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC connectivity.

- 6GB/128GB for CNY 1,899 (about $267)
- 8GB/128GB for CNY 2,099 (about $295)
- 8GB/256GB for CNY 2,499 (about $350)
All of these Oppo K5 variants are already up for preorders in China. The actual sales will start from October 17th which is exactly after one week from today.
