New Razer Blade Advanced comes with a new optical laptop keyboard

15 October 2019 0

Razer has launched a new Blade 15 Advanced as the world's first gaming laptop with an optical keyboard. This new keyboard is the biggest difference between the new and previously released Blade 15 Advanced laptops. This new keyboard is expected to offer a clickier typing experience which is something many missed on the previous model.

The new optical keyboard offers an actuation point of 1mm at 55 grams of actuation force. These new keys have a complete travel distance of 1.7mm. In theory, it should offer a faster input response which is crucial for professional gamers and eSports teams. This becomes even more important for fast action-packed games where the slightest delay can result in defeat for the player.

Other than this, Razer has packed the new Blade Razer Advanced with the same set of specifications. It sports a 15.6-inch Full HD matte display with a 240Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Intel Core i7-9750H processor coupled with 16GB of RAM and 512GB NVMe SSD storage. It can be expanded up to 2TB if you need more space to save your data.

It has one Thunderbolt 3 port, one USB Type-C Gen 2 port, two USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, an HDMI 2.0B port, and Mini DisplayPort for connectivity options. The whole package is backed by an 80Wh battery to keep the lights on. This is the only configuration option for now but Razer has said it will release more options in 2020. If you are interested in buying this new laptop with a new keyboard, you will have to shell out $2,649 in the United States.
