Huawei sub-brand Honor has launched a new fitness tracker Band 5i alongside the new Honor 20 Lite Youth Edition smartphone in China. The all-new fitness tracker includes all those features that a health fitness tracker includes but you will not find its one feature in other fitness trackers.
Honor Band 5i comes with a USB plug-in and charge design which means it can itself be plugged into the USB port to get charged. This eliminates the need for carrying the charging cord or the case. This one feature makes the fitness tracker more productive from inside out and thus it comes out as one major highlight of the wearable which catches attention.
Some other features of the Honor Band 5i include 5ATM water-resistant, heart rate monitor, and sleep tracking features. Honor claims the battery life of the Honor Band 5i could last for 7 to 9 days. It houses a 91mAH battery that takes approximately 1.5 hours to fully charged the band. The fitness tracker pairs with most phones running Android 4.4 and above, iOS 9.0 and above.
The Honor Band 5i has a 0.96-inch (160x80 pixels) colored touchscreen and TFT display. It includes a capacitive Home button as well and has sensors onboard that contain a 3-axis inertial sensor, optical heart rate sensor, infrared light wearing detection sensor. The band comes with Bluetooth v4.2 support and has 5 sports modes.
The band features a silicone strap and weighs roughly 24 grams (including the wristband).
The price of the Honor Band 5i is 159 Yuan ($22) and those who pre-order will get it for 149 Yuan ($21). Pre-orders have already begun on Vmall and it will run until October 31. The Honor Band 5i will be available for purchase starting November 1. It comes in Meteorite Black, Olive Green, and Coral Pink color options.
