Vivo iQOO Neo 855 with Snapdragon 855 launched for $280

Vivo has launched a new smartphone named iQOO Neo 855 in China. It is the latest addition to the iQOO family of smartphones and is an enhanced variant of the previously released iQOO Neo. As the name suggests, this new flagship comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor among other changes.

The Vivo iQOO Neo 855 sports a 6.38-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display with HDR10, DC dimming, and a tiny notch in the center. It offers a 90% screen-to-body ratio and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. As mentioned in the beginning, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor coupled with 6GB and 8GB of RAM. The internal storage include 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB options.

The triple rear camera setup remains the same i.e. a 12-megapixel main sensor with f/1.79 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera is a 12-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture which is housed within the notch.

The whole package is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. It will be running Funtouch OS based on Android 9 Pie out of the box. There are a couple of gaming-related features named Game Magic Box and Game Space 2.5. It also has liquid cooling to keep the phone temperature in control. Other features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

  • 6GB RAM with 64GB storage for CNY 1,998 (about $280)
  • 6GB RAM with 128GB storage for CNY 2,298 (about $310)
  • 8GB RAM with 128GB storage for CNY 2,498 (about $350)
  • 8GB RAM with 256GB storage for CNY 2,698 (about $380)
