Huawei at its event has announced new products that include a new MatePad Pro tablet, a Sound X smart speaker, and a laptop as well. The all-new Huawei MateBook D comes in two sizes 15.6-inch MateBook D 15 and the 14-inch MateBook D 14, and a Ryzen version. It comes powered by Intel’s 10th generation Core i7 processor which is coupled with NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics.
The MateBook D 15 is a thin and portable laptop that features 15.6-inch IPS Full HD display and 1920x1080 pixels resolution with a 178-degree viewing angle. The processor is packed with up to 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD storage and 1TB HDD. It has a Shark Fin 2.0 Silent Fan which the company says it has used for stronger air volume which greatly improves heat dissipation. It includes USB 2.0 port, 2xUSB 3.0 port, 3.5mm headphone jack, HDMI port, and a USB Type-C port. It comes with a lightweight 65W USB-C power adapter which weighs about 160 grams.
Huawei has also launched a compact version of this laptop in a 14-inch size. The Huawei MateBook D 14 features a full HD display and most of the specifications remain the same as the 15.6-inch model. It is just 15.9mm in thickness, same as the Apple MacBook Air and weighs 1.38Kgs and supports 180-degree screen opening and closing. Both the models have integrated fingerprint scanner for added security.
There is a Ryzen version as well called the MateBook D Ryzen version which uses AMD dual-channel memory design which the company claims can improve the graphics performance by more than 30 percent. It comes with an AMD R5 3500U chipset with up to 16GB RAM. It is promised to offer 13 hours of battery life on a single charge, 13.2 hours of full HD video playback and 12 hours of web browsing.
All three versions come pre-installed with Microsoft Windows 10 operating system. The series comes in two color options – Black and Grey.

All the models are now up for pre-orders in China and the company has confirmed that they will go on sale from December 3rd.
