Honor has launched its newest Android flagships Honor V30 and Honor V30 Pro at an event held in Beijing, China. It is the first smartphone lineup from Honor that comes with 5G support. It is a direct successor to last year's Honor V20 and comes with a number of significant specifications and features upgrades.
The Honor V30 and V30 Pro sport a 6.57-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. It is a full-screen display with no notch as it features a pill-shaped punch-hole on the top left side. Both these smartphones offer 5G connectivity support but differ in terms of the underlying hardware. The Honor V30 is powered by 7nm Kirin 990 processor with Balong 5000 5G modem but with the Pro variant, you will get Kirin 990 processor with an integrated 5G modem.
The triple rear camera setup on the V30 Pro includes a 40-megapixel Sony IMX600 RYYB sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 12-megapixel wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The standard V30 has the same camera sensors except for an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor instead of 12-megapixel.
Both these flagships feature a dual selfie camera setup, a 32-megapixel main sensor and an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor. It offers AI-powered portrait mode and Nightscape mode for improved low-light selfies. The wide-angle sensor is meant for group selfies where you want to capture all your family/friends in a single shot.
The whole package is powered by a 4,100mAh battery with 40W Honor SuperCharge support on both smartphones. These will run Magic UI 3.0.1 based on Android 10 out of the box. The Pro variant also has 27W wireless charging support. You will get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on both the models.

- 8GB/128GB for CNY 3,899 (about $555)
- 8GB/256GB for CNY 4,199 (about $600)
Honor has unveiled these new flagships in Orange, Blue, Back, and Pearl White color variants. These will go on pre-orders starting December 5th with the first sale scheduled for December 18th in China.
