Citizen smart clock with Amazon Alexa launched for $80

17 December 2019 0

If you did not like Amazon's own Alexa-powered smart clock for any reason, there is one more option for you to have a look at. The well-known watchmaker Citizen has launched a smart clock with Amazon Alexa integration. The major difference between the two options is that the newer one looks exactly like one of those classic and circular-shaped wall clocks.

It means that you will not be able to tell that it is a smart clock by simply having a look. It is worth noting that the Citizen smart clock does not feature any dedicated Alexa hardware. It has been released under Amazon's 'Work with Alexa' program which simply means that the clock will work as an extension for any other Alexa-hardware device that you may have around you.

In other words, you will be able to use other Alexa-powered devices to set alarms or timers. The clock features Blue-colored LEDs that will show you the time remaining for reminders. It can be helpful when your hands are busy and you can't reach out to your smartphone for checking the same. The clock features four USB Type-C batteries meant for charging purposes.

The Citizen Smart Clock has been released in two variants, metal frame and wooden frame, priced at $79.99 and $89.99 respectively. The metal model is being sold via Amazon.com but for the wooden model, you will have to visit Wayfair, Overstock, Hayneedle, and other “select retailers."
