Realme X50 which the company has been teasing about is confirmed to launch before Spring festival 2020. It is the company itself that has been throwing key details of the device and now it has shared one more important feature.
In a post on Weibo, Realme which is the Oppo spin-off brand has revealed that the Realme X50 will provide support for simultaneous dual-channel Wi-Fi and 5G connectivity. Thus the company is promising higher uplink and downlink speeds. This means we may experience higher speeds in all scenarios.
In a separate post, Realme has also confirmed that the upcoming X50 will not only dual 5G bands – SA and NSA but also all the other mainstream 5G network bands like n1/n41/n78/n79. Realme has already confirmed the dual 5G bands but it is now only confirming the support for other mainstream bands as well.
The dual-channel Wi-Fi and 5G support start making more sense when we realize that similar feature support in the ColorOS 7 makes the device use the Wi-Fi and Mobile data concurrently with smoother internet experience. It is the Dual Channel Network Acceleration feature inside the ColorOS 7 that allows this experience to happen actually.
Previous teasers have revealed the Realme X50 is going to have a pill-shaped notch that will carry two selfie cameras. Also, the device is already confirmed to pack the Snapdragon 765G processor with an integrated X52 5G modem. The smartphone is tipped to feature a 6.6-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 64MP camera that might employ the Sony IMX686 sensor. It is said to feature quad rear cameras with 60MP primary and others will an 8MP wide-angle lens, followed by two 2MP sensors.
We may see the Realme X50 5G getting unveiled before January 25, 2020.
