Poco X2, the long-overdue, much-anticipated and eagerly awaited phone has now gone official in India. The phone when it was not even named, in fact, when it was a non-existent, grabbed many eyeballs as its predecessor was a blockbuster hit. The hopes were high but the company didn’t launch the successor to the successful Poco F1 last year. But this didn’t stop the loyal followers to lose their expectation. And, now seeing such a great response of its first smartphone, the company has finally brought the successor that doesn’t join the naming convention and rather has a new name called the X2.
The new Poco X2 appears to be a rebranded version of the Redmi K30 4G. The key highlight of the Poco X2 is the RealityFlow 120Hz Display which is one of the key assets for smooth gaming and this is what the company is targeting as well. Apart from this, the gaming-focused Snapdragon 730G processor offers the device the needed fuel to play extensive mobile games. Then comes the battery capacity that plays a major role to let you stick to your gaming for a longer session. It has a 4500mAH battery and that too with the support for 27W fast-charging support so that you could charge it faster and relive the mobile gaming experience.
The Poco X2 phone also hosts a special Game Turbo mode to boost the graphics rendering in games for a more realistic experience. It also comes with proprietary LiquidCool technology to provide 300 percent faster heat transfer over the models that do not have a cooling system.
The Poco X2 features a 3D curved back design protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 panel. It runs Android 10 with MIUI 11 on the top. It features a 6.67-inch full HD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The company claims that the LCD display panel can dynamically adjust the refresh rate to provide enhanced results, thanks to the “Intelligent Dynamic Refresh Rate” technology.
The Snapdragon 730G processor is paired with Adreno 618 GPU and 8GB LPDDR4X RAM. Coming to the cameras, the Poco X2 has a quad rear camera setup that includes a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor with an f/1.89 aperture, 8MP secondary sensor with an f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens that has a field-of-view (FoV) of 120 degrees. The other two sensors include a 2MP tertiary sensor with an f/2.4 macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. Poco has offered features such as VLOG mode, 960fps, Slow-mo video recording, and 4K video capture.
On the front, the device includes dual punch holes that carry two cameras – 20MP primary and 2MP secondary sensors. For the selfie cameras, there are several modes of support, including AI Face Distortion, AI Beautify, AI Portrait, and more.
The price of the Poco X2 is Rs. 15,999 for the base 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage variant costs Rs. 16,999. There is also the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage variant that carries a price tag of Rs. 19,999.
The phone comes in Atlantis Blue, Matrix Purple, and Phoenix Red color options. It will go on sale through Flipkart. The first sale will commence on February 11 at 12pm IST.
