ZBoard, a startup based in Los Angeles makes skateboards which don’t require hand-held controllers like the existing electric skateboards. The skateboards from the ZBoard are operated by the sensors fitted in the sensors itself. Thus it makes you feel more natural as you’re not relying on any external device to control it. ZBoard like skateboards also removes the need of charging the second device that controls it.
The ZBoard 2 Pearl is the world's first and only weight-sensing electric skateboard. Our patented control system allows you to simply lean forward to go and lean back to stop.
Judner from UrAvgConsumer - a rider of the original ZBoard - took the Z2 Blue for a spin.
The company showcased the new skateboard ZBoard 2 that eschews a Bluetooth controller at the CES event. The ZBoard comes in two models – the Blue with a 16-mile range and 20MPH top speed for $1,299 and the Pearl with 24 miles of range and a 20MPH top speed for $1,499. Both have two pressure pads for your feet to move the board forward and backward.
Both models include:
- 1000W Brushless Outrunner Motor
- Integrated Headlights and Tail Lights (with on, off, and flashing modes)
- Dual Handles
- Onboard Battery Level Monitor
- Regenerative Braking
If you have used an electric skateboard before like the Boosted Board which works with the hand-held controller then you might get some problem while riding this new skateboard ZBoard 2. But, after a few minutes, it becomes easier to control the skateboard.
