Verizon entered the smartwatch market by announcing the Wear24 on February this year. The device is reported to run latest Android 2.0. Yesterday the company revealed more specs and features of the device. Apart from that, they also revealed the launch date of the device.
The Wear24 will pack a 1.39-inched round display with a pixel density of 290 PPI. Even though the company didn’t reveal the resolution of the device, we could expect a device with 400x400 resolutions. It will be equipped with LTE, WiFi, and NFC connectivity options. Apart from that, this Android Wear 2.0 device will be having IP67 protection.
IP67 means, the device will protect itself from water, dust, scratches etc. The device can be submerged in water up to 3.3 feet for more than 30 minutes. Verizon is packing a 450mAh battery to power the device. As you can see in the renders of the device, the device will be available in stainless steel, gunmetal black, and rose gold colors.
The device will hit the markets on May 11th for a price tag of $349.99. Verizon presents an amazing offer for the customers that knock $50 off the price. A 2-year contract with $5 per month will get you the device for a lower amount.
