NVIDIA at CES 2019 also brought the GeForce RTX 2060 GPUs with the ray-tracing tech. NVIDIA claims that the all-new RTX 2060 s 60 percent faster on current titles than the prior generation GTX 1060 and it also beats the gameplay of the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti. The company further says that with help of Turing’s RT Cores, the graphics card can run Battlefield V with ray tracing at 60 frames per second.
The GeForce RTX 2060 by NVIDIA can handle the compute-heavy workload of modern games and is suitable for the demanding desktop gamers. It comes with 6GB GDDR6 memory and 240 Tensor Cores that can deliver 52 teraflops of deep learning horsepower and this can improve the gaming performance through a feature known as Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS).
Pairing the DLSS along with the ray-tracing rendering tech offers better image quality. It’s DLSS that extract multidimensional features of a renders scene combines them intelligently so as to construct a high-quality final image.
The RTX 2060 will be available on January 15th in systems from Alienware, Acer, HP, and others. For a limited time, gamers buying the GeForce RTX 2060 or a new desktop PC equipped with the RTX 2060, can choose to receive Anthem or Battlefield V.
NVIDIA has also announced that the Battlefield V with DLSS support is coming soon.
