Facebook reportedly working on voice enabled AI assistant

Social media giant Facebook aims to dive into all of the technologies that it’s rivals have stepped into and the voice assistant is one of them. Google, Amazon, and Apple all have their very own version of voice assistants and now it’s seems it’s Facebook’s turn to showcase the world what it has to offer. A similar product in this regard is under works since 2018 by Facebook augmented reality and the virtual reality group which works upon hardware for the company like Oculus headsets.

As per two former Facebook employee,s the company is working on AI-powered voice assistant which is lead by Ira Synder who is the director of VR/AR at Facebook. The social media giant is also contacting smart speaker vendors as well to make this a reality soon. While it’s currently not quite clear as to how Facebook intends to make it’s AI voice-enabled the assistant to work or to offer, though chances are that users would be able to summon Facebook’s video content or use it in conjunction with Oculus headsets in the upcoming future.

Considering the fierce competition by Amazon or Google, it would be interteesing to see the unique aspect of what Facebook brings forward as it’s own AI voice-enabled assistant. What do you think about this? Let us know in the comment section below.
