Twitter for Android gets the GIF keyboard support finally, however, this feature is currently working in beta version 6.33.0 only.
Features of the Android Nougat let you directly insert the GIFs into an application via certain keyboard apps like Gboard, however, both the keyboard and target application have to be updated to handle this new functionality. Twitter now offers you to add Gifs using the keyboard with the help of the version 6.33.0-beta.556.
To enable this feature, you just need to have a device running Android 7.1 and up, the latest beta version of the Twitter app, and a compatible keyboard, such as Google’s Gboard or a Chrooma keyboard.
It should be noted that Twitter’s Android app already packs a useful GIF search which you can find while making a reply or tweeting from the profile, but Google’s option expands to a couple of other sources outside of GIPHY, allowing for a few more GIF to make their way to your conversations.
Since we are seeing this option in beta, there is a possibility that the stable version could see the same in coming days in the next update.
You can download the latest beta version of the Twitter be heading to the APKMirror.

I am really excited by the news. But the downside for me is that I am not on Nougat still. However, I am not too far from that. So, excited! Fingers crossed!
The version is still in APK, I guess. Does this mean that it's still in beta?
Twitter is getting more of a bigger app with various features than just being a micro-blogging site. 140-characters is a thing of the past now.
Having GIFs is real fun and we have the same in WhatsApp these days too. So, it's more fun to use these apps.
