HMD Global has confirmed that Nokia 3 has now started to receive Android 8.0 Oreo update. The stable version has been released after about a couple of months since the beginning of the beta testing. With this, all of Nokia's smartphones from last year have been upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo.

The Nokia 3 is an entry-level smartphone from the company was made official alongside other devices during MWC event in Barcelona. It was launched with Android 7.0 Nougat but HMD Global decided to skip directly to Android Oreo without upgrading it to Android 7.1.2 Nougat.
It is an OTA update which means users should get the update notification automatically once it becomes available for their particular unit. But they can also check for it manually by visiting phone's Settings -> About Phone -> System Updates. Once the update becomes available, it is recommended to connect to a WiFi to avoid any unwanted cellular data charges.
