HMD Global has launched the new Nokia X5 smartphone in China. The latest affordable Nokia phone is the second phone in the Nokia X-series after the Nokia X6. The Nokia X5 comes with a notched display along with an impressive design and attractive hardware. The Nokia X5 has been launched at CNY 999 for the base variant and CNY 1,399 for the high-end variant.
The Nokia X5 has a similar design language as the Nokia X6 and comes with a notch on the top and a narrow chin. It has an edge-to-edge display with an 84% screen-to-body ratio. It has an all-glass body design with a 5.86-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass display and a 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the Nokia X5 comes with an octa-core 2.0 GHz Helio P60 chipset with 3GB of RAM/ 32GB of storage and the other with 4GB of RAM/ 64GB of storage. Both the variants will come with microSD expandable phone memory up to 128GB via a microSD card slot.
The Nokia X5 has a 13MP + 5MP dual rear camera with LED flash support. The complex has a 5MP sensor with AI face unlock. Connectivity options included are dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is backed by a 3060mAh battery and weighs around 160 grams. The Nokia X5 will also run Android 8.1 OS upgradable to Android P. The phone is available in Black, Blue and White colours.
The Nokia X5 has been launched in China and it is unclear when the company plans on launching this device globally.

Just two variants to choose 3GB-32GB and 4GB-64GB. Goes well though for a mid-ranger.
In some cases now, we are seeing the end of 2GB variants for a reason.
And now, because the Nokia 5X is official, there's an end to the rumors about the possible features and specs.
The 2.0 GHz Helio P60 processor looks promising to me. I mean, smooth working without any hiccups.
