Nokia 6 (2017) starts getting Android 9 Pie update

HMD Global announced Nokia 6 (2017) and it was among the first few phones to have marked the re-entry of Nokia as a brand along with Nokia 2 and Nokia 5. Last month Nokia’s Chief Product Officer, Juho Sarvikas, published the Android 9.0 Pie release timeline for Nokia phones on Twitter including Nokia 6 (2017).


The update for Nokia 6 (2017) is numbered as v6.12H and is approximately 1.6-1.7GB in size. It brings in features like the new gesture-based navigation system, new settings menu, adaptive battery, and adaptive brightness and Digital Wellbeing..


The update also brings in the February 2019 security patch and is being rolled out in a phased manner.
