Nokia 9 PureView camera samples showcase great details in different lighting conditions

27 February 2019 2

This year's MWC is full of new smartphones from Sony, HMD Global, Huawei, Oppo, and many others. Like last year HMD Global utilizes the MWC stage to unveil a number of smartphones. At this year HMD Global launched feature phone Nokia 210, mid-range phones including Nokia 1 Plus, Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 4.2. Last but not the least the company finally showcases the much-awaited flagship Nokia 9 PureView.

As expected the key selling aspect of Nokia 9 PureView is being the first phone in the market with five rear cameras. Today the first sample shots of Nokia 9 PureViews shared by a Chinese site which reveals the camera prowess in all sorts of scenarios including low-light conditions. The Nokia 9 PureView has seven cutouts on the rear side, there is an LED flashlight, 3D ToF sensor and other five cutouts are of 12MP modules.

All the sensors are ZEISS certified. There are three 12MP monochrome sensors and dual 12MP RGB modules on the rear side. The best aspect is all the sensors work simultaneously to produce the final results. The first sample photo showcases the wide shot of sky with great detail and superb colors accuracy. The second shot is captured from a rooftop in normal lighting condition. The third shot captured the dewdrop on the leave, once again the colors accuracy and detail are worth appreciating. One of the images also highlights the Nokia 9 PureView capturing capabilities in low-light conditions.

In terms of specs, the Nokia 9 PuewView is featuring a 5.99-inches AMOLED display with Quad HD+ screen resolution. Surprisingly it is running on the last year's Snapdragon 845 SoC instead of the latest Snapdragon 855. The Octa-core SoC is accompanied with 6GB RAM and built-in storage is 128GB which can be further expanded using MicroSD. As OS the device is pre-installed with Android Pie straight out of the box.

The front-facing selfie snapper is 20MP. A 3,320mAh battery is on board to keep its lights on, it comes with 18W fast charger and also supports 10W wireless charging. It will be available at $699 in next month for several markets. Would you like to grab Nokia 9 PureView if it is released in your region?
