A couple of days ago, we reported about a leaked smartphone with codename Nokia Daredevil. It was a mysterious phone with many noteworthy features including a circular rear camera module. A new leak has emerged about the same device claiming that the Nokia Daredevil is likely to be released as the Nokia 5.2.
The leak has been shared by a tipster Twitter account Nokia Anew mentioning that HMD Global was working on bringing different high-end features to the Nokia 5.2. These include PureDisplay, Zeiss optics for cameras, and OZO Audio for a premium sound output. All these features are currently available on different expensive Nokia phones suggesting that the Nokia 5.2 is likely to be released under a premium price segment.
HMD was planning to add Zeiss, PureDisplay and OZO Audio to Nokia 5.2. So far, everything fits. Therefore, last year's Nokia 5.1 was replaced by the new Nokia 4 - Nokia 5.2 moves to a more expensive segment.#nokia5 #nokiamobile #hmd #nokia #nokia4— Nokia anew (@nokia_anew) July 5, 2019
If we go by last weekend's leak, the Nokia 5.2 should be having a 6.3-inch Full HD+ PureDisplay with minimum bezels. The display panel will also have a waterdrop-styled notch for housing the selfie camera. Under the hood, it was shown to be featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with unknown RAM and storage capacity.
There will be a triple rear camera setup including a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a wide-angle secondary sensor, and an ultra wide-angle third sensor. The exact field of view for these wide-angle sensors is not known at the moment. The battery capacity is reported to be 3,500mAh and Android 9 Pie on the software front.
