HMD Global has many new mid-range smartphones to launch this year and thanks to so many leaks, we do know a bit about them. Now, according to the tipster Ishan Agarwal, there’s a new smartphone Nokia 8.2 in the pipeline which will come with 32MP pop-up selfie-camera. The tipster has, however, put a forewarning here and mentioned that an ‘unconfirmed’ source provided this tip to him. So, we can’t rely on it but if such a phone exists then it’s going to be HMD Global’s first smartphone with a pop-up mechanism.
This further alludes the Nokia 8.2 is going to have a completely bezel-less profile or at least thinner bezels around. Well, moving on, the tipster citing its source also mentions the Nokia 8.2 will run Android Q and include 8GB+256GB storage configuration. Well, it looks to be the configurations of one of its variants and it's unlikely that the base model is going to have this big storage. It’s expected that the Nokia 8.2 will be powered by Snapdragon 700 or unreleased Snapdragon 735 SoC.
It’s unknown whether or not there’s an in-display fingerprint sensor. It may be possible that the company sticks to the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor just like the Nokia 8.1 which was one of the best mid-range Android smartphones of 2018.
In related news, HMD Global also has Nokia 6.2 and the Nokia 7.2 to launch soon. The Nokia 6.2 is said to be the rebranded version of the Nokia X71 that was launched back in China.
Pretty much the information on the Nokia 8.2 is obscure but we do hope to learn more about it in the coming days.
