Nokia 9.1 PureView launch delayed until Q4 2019; 5G support and better camera

HMD Global was rumored to announce Nokia 9 PureView successor in the third quarter of the year which is currently going on. The alleged smartphone is likely to be called Nokia 9.1 PureView and as per a new report, the release timeline has now been postponed to Q4 2019. It means this new phone will now get unveiled between October 2019 and December 2019.

The report is coming from NokiaPowerUser citing its sources familiar with the matter. It is reported that HMD Global is working on resolving issues related to Nokia 9.1 PureView's highlighting features. It wants to ensure that all those features work as they intend them to and there are no negative feedbacks like it happened with the Nokia 9 PureView.

One of these highlighting features will be camera performance. The team is collaborating with a team from Light over improving the same as much as possible. The special focus of the team is on delivering superior low-light and video recording capabilities. While most of the things are done, the teams are working on optimizing the functionality.

The Nokia 9.1 PureView is further said to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. This is a good choice of chipset as Nokia 9 PureView was released with an outdated flagship processor. The smartphone will also have 5G network support and will be running Android Q out of the box.
