HMD Global kicked off its Android 10 update program by releasing the update for the Nokia 8.1 last week. It is now preparing for updating more devices as Nokia 7.1, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 6.1, and Nokia 6.1 Plus Android 10 internal beta builds have leaked. These builds have been shared by an XDA member hikari_calyx and can be flashed manually if you have the right device.
These leaked internal beta builds are advised to be installed only on a device with an unlocked bootloader. This is because if you will do so on a locked bootloader phone, you will not be able to revert to the stable channel. This is an important step as it can save you from situations where you might end up encountering a nasty bug.
Since all the four leaked beta builds are currently part of the internal testing, it is safe to say that they are quite far away from being a polished product. It means if you wish to proceed with the installation, be ready for any kind of bugs and performance issues that may arise during the usage. This is one major reason we would not suggest you install beta builds on your primary device, especially if you are unfamiliar with the world of custom ROM flashing.
As per the official Nokia Android 10 roadmap, all of these four phones are expected to get updated by the early parts of Q1 2020. The Nokia 7.1 is the only phone that will receive the update by the end of Q4 2019. It means you should not expect any of these devices to receive stable Android 10 anytime soon.
