HMD Global has launched yet another Nokia Android phone in the budget segment. The all-new Nokia 2.3 is the successor to the Nokia 2.2 and the company highlights some AI camera specifically to draw some attention. These AI features are not new to the smartphone world as many manufacturers have made them available a long time back. But it is interesting to note the same features have made their way to budget phones as well.
According to the company, Nokia 2.3 is a featured-packed phone and comes with many delights. Considering the hardware the phone actually has, the AI-assisted features do fetch some attention. The Nokia 2.3 carries dual cameras on the back and accompanied by “Recommended Shot,” a brand-new Nokia phone feature to help you choose the best picture. The feature automatically captures alternate images before and after the shutter button is pressed and presents you the best one.
Furthermore, the Portrait Mode and low-light imaging enhance the overall photography experience. The company suggests that after taking a shot using the Portrait Mode, you can simply use Google Photos to adjust the blur. Also, the Nokia 2.3 combines advanced image fusion and exposure stacking, meaning it offers vibrancy even in low-light conditions.
Another good thing about the Nokia 2.3 is the dedicated Google Assistant button that lets you summon the digital assistant by just pressing it. It also comes with face recognition for added security.
In the battery department as well, the company touts the AI-assisted feature called the Adaptive Battery technology that ensures longer battery life. This app learns app usage habits and manages battery life accordingly.
The Nokia 2.3 has a nano-textured cover for a stronger grip and aluminum chassis for some solidness. The smartphone runs Android 10 and guarantees monthly security updates for three years and OS updates for two years. Thanks to Android 10, the phone allows you to access the dark theme to save on power usage and improve stability.
