Samsung unveils Galaxy Book Pro, Pro 360 with 11th Gen Intel CPUs

29 April 2021 0

Samsung has refreshed its high-end range of notebooks with the launch of the new Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360. The latter one is obviously a 2-in-1 convertible model with support for the stylus. These new models were made official alongside the relatively affordable Galaxy Book and Galaxy Book Odyssey variants.

Samsung Galaxy Book Pro

The Galaxy Book Pro notebook is available in two display sizes: 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED panels with DisplayHDR 500 certification. The choice of processors includes 11th Gen Intel Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7. There are Intel UHD Graphics with the Core i3 model and Intel Iris Xe GPU with the other processors. You can also get the NVIDIA GeForce MX450 GPU but it is available only with the bigger display variant.

There is one Thunderbolt 4 port, one USB Type-C port, one USB 3.2 port, and a 3.5mm headphone/mic port but with the 15.6-inch model, you will also get an HDMI port. Samsung has offered 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB LPDDR4X RAM options and up to 1TB NVMe SSD storage capacity. It boasts Dolby Atmos and Sound by AKG fine-tuned audio, Pro Keyboard, and fingerprint scanner integrated within the power key. The battery size is 63Wh and 68Wh on the two models with support for 65W fast charging. Both of these will run Windows 10 Home/Pro out of the box.

The Galaxy Book Pro starts at $999 for the base model. It is already up for pre-orders and color options include Mystic Silver, Mystic Blue, and Mystic Pink Gold.

Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360

The Galaxy Book Pro 360 has the same display as the standard models but with a couple of extra functionalities. The biggest one is that the panel can be rotated around to a complete 360-degrees for flexibility. It is a touchscreen display so that the notebook can be used as a tablet and even supports the S Pen stylus. The good thing is that the stylus is bundled with the box and one does not need to purchase it separately.

It even supports a nano-SIM card for on-the-go 5G connectivity. This will reduce your dependency on finding a safe, secure, and reliable WiFi network when you have to work while on the move. All other things about this convertible notebook are the same as the traditional variant of the model. The Galaxy Book Pro 360 will start at $1,199 with pre-orders already live. The available color options include Mystic Bronze, Mystic Silver, and Mystic Navy.
