Samsung has debuted a new entry-level Chromebook named Galaxy Chromebook 2 360. It is an education-focused offering that was unveiled at the British Educational Training and Technology (BETT) 2022 event. It is a 2-in-1 convertible and comes packed with budget specifications that should be good enough for school students.
The Galaxy Chromebook 2 360 sports a 12.4-inch TFT display with 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution, 243ppi pixel density, and 350 nits of peak brightness. It is powered by the Intel Celeron N4500 processor with Intel UHD Graphics GP for handling graphics-intensive tasks. The notebook features 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM along with 64GB and 128GB eMMC onboard storage.
The connectivity options include dual USB Type-C ports, a USB 3.2 port, a microSD card slot, and a Nano security slot. It supports WiFi 6 and has optional LTE connectivity. There is an HD webcam, dual 1.5W speakers, and a 45.5Whr battery. Samsung is claiming it will last for up to 10 hours on a single charge. It will boot Chrome OS out of the box as the operating system.
Samsung has priced the Galaxy Chromebook 2 360 at EUR 419 for the 4GB/64GB (WiFi) variant. The model with 4GB/128GB (LTE) configuration will cost you EUR 499. It will be available for purchase starting April 15th.
