OnePlus' first Android tablet OnePlus Tab tipped for H1 2022 launch

13 December 2021 1

It was almost half a year ago when we first heard about OnePlus' plans for releasing an Android tablet. The rumor mill went silent about the product after that and now, we have fresh reports revealing some more details. The latest report from 91Mobiles in collaboration with tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) claims that the tablet could be called OnePlus Pad.

The alleged OnePlus Pad is expected to get official in India sometime during the first half of 2022. It adds that the tablet is expected to first debut in China but is unknown exactly when. There is also a possibility that Chinese users will get multiple models of the tablet. As for Indian fans, there might just be a single model available for purchase.

The report appears to be confident that both the OnePlus 10 series and the OnePlus Tab will not debut together in India. If true, this eliminates the possibility of the tablet launching in India during the first quarter. It makes us believe that the tablet should debut between April and June 2022.

Unfortunately, the details related to the OnePlus Pad specifications are unknown. An important thing to note is that Oppo is also rumored to be working on an Android tablet. It is expected to have at least a 10-inches display with a 120Hz refresh rate. We have seen OnePlus release rebranded Oppo products in the past. It would not be surprising if it does the same for the OnePlus Pad too but we will have to wait to see if that actually happens.
