Oppo launches a sub-brand Realme in India to boost online sales

02 May 2018 3

Oppo that is one of the fastest rising Chinese smartphone brands in the Indian market has finally announced a new brand dedicated to the Indian market. Yesterday the Amazon India page showed a notification for the Oppo fans in case they were interested to know more about the upcoming brand and now it’s finally live.

In order to boost online sales in India, Oppo took this step to add up to its already solid offline business in Indian market. Along with the new brand named as Reale, Oppo would also introduce a new device within this brand which would be called Realme 1 which isn’t a whole new phone but is, in fact, Oppo A3, getting rebranded.

The company puts down Xiaomi by putting a slogan as ‘Generic Design’ beside Redmi 5A while asking a question ‘Do all affordable phones look the same?’, boasting the unique different design of Oppo A3. Contrary to this, we know that the design isn’t too unique knowing how HTC Touch Diamond and Oppo R1x offer a similar Black Diamond color design.

The new smartphone under RealMe branding would offer Helio P60 chipset and might cost around 23,000 INR. Are you excited? Share your views in the comment section below.
