Fitbit’s “mass appeal” smartwatch has its official name revealed and yes the image too that will tell you how company’s second smartwatch is going to look. The name of Fitbit’s coming smartwatch is Versa and this has been leaked by the prolific tipster Evan Blass who didn’t share any other details of the same.
Going by the previous report of Wareable, the Versa by Fitbit isn’t going to be expensive as the Ionic smartwatch but it will have its DNA somewhat matching to the Blaze. So, the all-new Versa which isn’t official yet will sit between these two wearables.
We received many renders of this smartwatch with different colored bands about a week ago. There were a number of images with a variety of strap dimensions, colors, and styles. However, no concrete details were attached to the report, but Wareable did manage to theorize it. The Fitbit Versa is expected to lack standalone GPS support. And, it will run the same software – Fitbit OS that also empowers Fitbit Blaze, fitness tracker.
The Fitbit Versa may include the water-resistive feature which could help it to resist it to a full 50 meters. It’s also expected to have the same SpO2 sensor that debuted on the Ionic to track the sleep apnea.
We just reached another step in knowing this smartwatch but we are still quite away in knowing when this smartwatch will reach and at what price.
