For past few weeks, we have been hearing reports about the Razer Phone 2 which will be a successor to the original Razer Phone from last year. Most of these reports have talked about specifications and features with almost zero mention of the design and appearance. But now, there is a new leak showing the Razer Phone 2 front panel design to give an idea of what it might look like.
The leak is coming from Android Headlines citing a reliable source. In the render, you can see that the Razer Phone 2 looks pretty much same as the original Razer Phone. The only major difference noticeable between the two phones is the lock screen wallpaper and the time-date. It still has bigger top-bottom bezels, unlike most of 2018 smartphones which are ditching bezels to offer more viewing real estate. But this makes us believe that Razer will continue to offer front-firing stereo speakers which are more in line with Razer's gaming smartphone approach.
While it is not confirmed, the Razer Phone 2 could get official on October 10 which is just under a month from now. The speculated launch date is based on the fact the phone's render shows it as the date on the lock screen. The original Razer Phone was unveiled on November 1st which is also the date mentioned on its render's lock screen.
If we talk about other rumors, Razer's next gaming smartphone should come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and 8GB of RAM. The display size is expected to unchanged and at 5.7-inches with 120GHz refresh rate. It is said to offer up to 512GB internal storage and run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
