It seems like Lenovo is all set for announcing its first smartphone for the year which is reported to be called Lenovo A5s. It is said to be a budget offering which will be succeeding last year's Lenovo K5. The report has been shared by 91Mobiles revealing an official press render and all the major specifications.
The alleged Lenovo K5s is reported to sport an HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio but unknown screen size. The render shows it with almost negligible side bezels but a significant top and bottom bezels. Under the hood, it will be featuring the MediaTek MT6761 chipset, commonly known as MediaTek Helio A22, with PowerVR GE8300 GPU. There is 2GB of RAM with no words on storage capacity or whether there will be other variants too.
One of the most interesting things mentioned in the report is that the smartphone will be coming with Android Pie. If true, it is good to see Lenovo opting for the latest Android version instead of going with the now outdated Android Oreo. The latter part which is something many of the OEMs do, especially when it comes to entry-level smartphones.
The exact details regarding the Lenovo A5s pricing and availability but it is expected to be slightly more expensive than the Lenovo A5. We can definitely expect more details as we will get closer to the launch.
