Xiaomi is working on its first Android Go smartphone for quite some time and it was even spotted online last month. It is time for a new leak which reveals everything about the phone in full detail. It includes complete specifications and renders showing color variants of the upcoming phone.
The leak reveals that the Redmi Go will be sporting a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) LCD display. Under the hood, it will have the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor with Adreno 308 GPU. There is 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which is expected from an Android Go smartphone.
It will have an 8-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, HDR, and LED flash. As for taking selfies, it has a 5-megapixel shooter with f/2.2 aperture. The whole package is powered by a 3000mAh battery and it will come bundled with a 5V/1A charger. On the software front, it will be running Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) which is likely to be stock Android.
The leak further suggests that the Xiaomi Redmi Go will be unveiled in Blue and Black color variants. There are no words on the pricing at the moment but it is safe to assume that it will be on the affordable side. It is unlikely to cost more than Rs. 5,000 (about $70) but we will have to wait until the official release to know the exact pricing details.
