Xiaomi is reportedly planning to unveil a 50-inch model in the Mi TV 4A lineup in the Indian market. The report is coming from MySmartPrice in collaboration with reliable tipster Ishan Agarwal (@ishanagarwal24). It will be the fourth TV in the series as previous three are available in 32-inch, 43-inch, and 49-inch sizes.
The 50-inch Mi TV 4A was originally unveiled in China last year and considering how Xiaomi names TV products in India, it is likely to be known as the Mi TV 4A Pro in the country. If you are wondering why launch a 50-inch TV when they already have a 49-inch model, the answer to the question is the difference in the display panel resolution. The currently available model comes with a 1080p panel but the upcoming one is claimed to offer a 4K UHD panel with HDR support.
Xiaomi unveiled the 50-inch Mi TV 4A with 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution display and 60Hz refresh rate. It boasts HDR10+ HLG technology for superior video quality along with Dolby Audio and DTS HD for premium audio output. In India, it will certainly be coming with the Patchwall interface and a bunch of pre-installed apps for virtually unlimited content to stream and binge watch.
The exact date of the launch and pricing details are currently unavailable. It should be an affordably priced TV for sure but we will share all the specifics as and when any such information will surface.
