New Redmi phone with SD 730, triple rear cameras, pop-up selfie camera leaked

16 April 2019 2

Xiaomi's Redmi brand seems to be busy working on a number of interesting devices. It currently has Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro smartphones in the market which have taken the competition by storm. It is also rumored to release a Snapdragon 855-powered flagship and now, there is a leak about a new Redmi device with noteworthy features.

This new Redmi device made its first rumor mill appearance on the Chinese social network Weibo. It is rumored to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor which is a new chipset from the brand. It was first seen on the recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy A80 smartphone which means this rumored Redmi phone will be the second device to feature the processor.

On the back panel, it is shown to be sporting a triple rear camera setup. It includes a 48-megapixel sensor, a 13-megapixel sensor, and an 8-megapixel sensor where one can expect two of them to be wide-angle and telephoto sensors. There are no words on the front camera specs but it is likely to be a pop-up selfie camera.

There will be a 4,000mAh battery to keep the lights on which is said to be a non-removal battery. It is not mentioned in the leak but it should feature fast charging support. The leak does not talk about the release date but we should be getting more details as the time will pass.
