06 May 2019 4

As a separate brand since January this year we had seen a number of mid-range and an Android One from Redmi. However the company GM confirmed in February the arrival of a premium flagship phone. So far many details regarding the Redmi flagship were confirmed by the Lu Weibing. He already confirmed the device will be running on the Qualcomm's latest best Snapdragon 855 chipset.

It won't have pop-up selfie snapper. He recently stated the upcoming Redmi flagship won't be dubbed as Redmi X instead it will have a better name. Today the Redmi's upcoming flagship alleged screenshot leaked online which reveals its codename is "Raphael" and built-in native storage is 256GB. This means the Redmi flagship base model will have 128GB storage.

The leaked screenshot suggests the device is running on the MIUI 10 latest beta build 9.4.22. From what we heard so far the Redmi flagship will support NFC connectivity. It will have triple rear cameras including 48MP primary camera, ultrawide-angle camera. It will also retain the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack.

We can expect more details regarding the Redmi flagship will appear in coming days. Stay tuned, we will keep you updated.

The storage capacity like the 256GB will really and practically put the Redmi phone in the "flagship" category. That's a good beginning for Xiaomi in the Redmi lineup.
