When Sony introduced the Xperia 10 lineup earlier this year, it also introduced a new design with a taller 21:9 display as well as a new way of rear camera placement. A new leak has emerged suggesting that Sony has plans of continuing the same design with the release of Xperia 20 as well. The leak features a bunch of high-quality renders and a 360-degree video created by well-known tipster @OnLeaks in collaboration with online publication Pricebaba.
In the first look, it is quite difficult to distinguish between Xperia 10 and leaked Xperia 20. Both smartphones are almost identical including the back panel design. The display is still as tall as the predecessor which means it will offer a 21:9 aspect ratio. There is a significantly bigger top bezel, especially when you compare with other modern phones with notches or even punch-hole cameras. The bottom and side bezels are almost negligible which are in line with the current trend.
On the back, you will see the LED flash at top and dual rear camera module just below it. It is followed by Sony and Xperia brandings respectively. The report claims that Sony might opt for metal-glass or metal-plastic build quality instead of the all-metal approach on the Xperia 10. This is something which is not confirmed yet but is speculated to happen.
Other noteworthy changes between the two phones include power button integrated with a fingerprint sensor on the Xperia 20. The upcoming phone will also a single speaker grill at the bottom instead of having two of them. There are no details regarding technical specifications, pricing or availability of Xperia 20 yet but we should be hearing more as the time will pass.
