Xiaomi started creating hype around its yet-to-come smartphone from Redmi soon after the launch of the OnePlus 7 series. Calling its device the Flagship Killer 2.0, the Chinese company is busy in promoting it. The name of the device is Redmi K20 and according to some official posters, it’s arriving on May 28 for a fierce competition.
Rumors say that the device will be accompanied by the K20 Pro, however, there are no specific details on the same. The triple rear cameras setup is said to be included in the base variant, unlike the OnePlus 7 that comes only with dual rear cameras. A recently leaked camera sample, however, showed the snap is taken with the triple rear cameras of the K20 Pro. Well, the information is pretty vague but we may come to a conclusion in the coming days when more leaks appear.
Brand’s General Manager Lu Weibing has been putting some interesting information on the Redmi K20 and once again, he has come with a poster along with a description that confirms the K20 includes a 48MP Sony IMX586 camera. He also writes (translated),
I am very confident to test the K20's camera ability and want to compare it with the highest level of mobile phone. What kind of flagship do we want to compare with the flagship?
The poster he has shared shows the Redmi K20 will come with 4,800mAH battery on May 28. Another poster shared on Redmi Weibo post also tells the device is coming on the mentioned date. So, we are almost a week away from the launch of “Flagship Killer 2.0” from Redmi.
Recently, the AnTuTu benchmark showed the device with the highest score, depicting it’s indeed a killer in performance.
The Redmi K20 Pro is expected to include some fancy features, including the 27W fast-charging, an ultra-wide secondary snapper and a pop-up selfie-shooter with a 20MP sensor. Well, just curb your curiosity and wait for the launch event to come to reveal everything about it.
