Xiaomi Mi Band 4 alleged image along with key features and price leaked

21 May 2019 3

The first-ever image of the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 with its attractive red band might have surfaced on the internet. Back in April, we got a chance to see the Band 4 without its band, thanks to NCC certification listing but it wasn’t the clear version of the wearable. Although this time as well we don’t have a clearer picture of the device, it’s the first time the complete device has surfaced and is leveraging some unknown facts about itself. Chief Financial Officer of Huami, Mr. David Cui confirmed back in March that the next fitness tracker will include some new features, however, it was unknown back then exactly what new things he’s talking about. Now, a Chinese source might be providing some of those key details of the device.

The leak shows the device might feature a colored display and ditch the monochrome display. According to Gizmochina report, the Mi Band 4 fitness tracker will offer a bigger battery in comparison to its predecessor. In fact, it could house a 135mAH battery instead of a smaller 110mAH on the Mi Band 3. The Bluetooth certification has already confirmed the support for the Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.

Other known facts include the support for Xiaomi’s virtual assistant, called Xiao AI, which debuted in April last year. The device with model number XMSH08HM could come with NFC support and the other with model number XMSH07HM will come without this support.

The Mi Band 4 will come with an improved “Heart Rate Monitoring” system. One with the NFC version is expected to come at a price tag of 499 Yuan (~$72) whereas the standard version will remain between 200-300 Yuan (~$28-$43). But the launch details aren’t available yet.
