The Honor 9X series launch is set for two weeks from today and in the meantime, Honor has started its marketing campaign to create buzz on social media. George Zhao, VP of Honor, has shared a bunch of Honor 9X teasers offering a glimpse of what to expect. There are a total of four teasers featuring the retail box but focused on one particular aspect of the smartphone.
The four teasers show an Honor 9X box placed alongside a gaming controller, a clock, a running car toy, and a bunch of camera rolls. It is not hard to guess that these teasers are aimed at showing the device's gaming prowess, battery life, speedy performance, and possibly impressive camera quality.
But if you are wondering what exactly are the specifications, there is a new leak revealing Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro's full specifications. They share many of the specs including a 6.59-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) LCD display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. There will be an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 810 processor with no words on the RAM and storage configuration variants.
Both smartphones offer a triple rear camera setup with an 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel secondary and third sensor. The difference is in the primary sensor which is a 24-megapixel on Honor 9X and a 48-megapixel on Honor 9X Pro. There is a 20-megapixel selfie camera on both phones which is said to be a pop-up selfie camera.
The whole package is powered by a 4,000mAh battery but Honor 9X comes with 10W fast charging and Pro variant with 22.5W fast charging. Other features include a fingerprint scanner, EMUI 9.1 based on Android 9 Pie, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
