Last week, Nubia announced that it will be releasing a new flagship smartphone named Nubia Z20 on August 8th. It was expected to a standard Android flagship with high-end features but as per recently spotted TENAA listing, it is turning out to be a unique and interesting smartphone. It is likely to bring at least two features that you will not find in most flagships from competitors.
The first interesting thing to note is that the Nubia Z20 will be sporting dual displays, one on the front and one on the back. Both will be Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) OLED display panels but the primary one will be curved and have a bigger size at 6.42-inches and the second one will be 5.1-inches. The dual display mechanism is expected to be same as the Nubia X where the second display remains invisible unless you turn it on.
The second interesting thing about the Nubia Z20 is the presence of dual fingerprint scanners. The smartphone will have the two fingerprint scanners on both side frames. This will allow users to unlock the device from whichever side they are comfortable accessing. This is again exactly the same what we saw with the Nubia X.
In the camera department, the Nubia Z20 will feature triple cameras on the back panel. It is essentially a triple rear camera setup but can also be used for selfie purposes. It means the smartphone will not have dedicated selfie cameras. A user will need to turn on the secondary display to use those three sensors as front cameras. These are expected to include a 48-megapixel sensor, a 16-megapixel sensor, and an 8-megapixel sensor.
As for other specs and features, it will come with the newly announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor. It will have a total of three configuration models featuring 6GB of RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB of RAM with 256GB storage, and 12GB of RAM and 512GB storage. The whole package will be powered by a 3,900mAh battery which seems good enough for a day's usage.
