Huawei is only three days away from officially unveiling the Mate 30 lineup but before that, well-known tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) has shared whole lineup's press renders. These include the standard Mate 30, Mate 30 Pro, Mate 30 Lite, and even the special edition Mate 30 Porsche edition. The renders offer an early look at the design language of each of these phones.
Starting with the Huawei Mate 30 Pro, it seems to be having a taller display with waterfall display design. It is the curved design where the display spreads across the edges and something even the Vivo NEX 3 is rumored to come with. The display does look great and gorgeous in the renders and we can't wait to see the actual product in real. The notch is still there and is a wider one at that as it will be housing front cameras and sensors for the improved facial recognition tech Huawei will be unveiling at the event as well.
The back panel of the phone shows a circular camera module with quad rear cameras. The four cameras are aligned like four dots in a dice. The LED flash has been placed outside the module and on the top left side. The standard Mate 30 has a similar camera setup as well along with the LED flash placement. It is the front panel which is slightly different as it has a smaller notch as compared to the Pro variant. It does not have the Waterfall design either as Huawei has opted for a traditional approach with slim bezels. None of the two phones have a fingerprint scanner on the back which means they will have an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The Huawei Mate 30 Lite will be the most affordable phone in the lineup. This seems to be the reason that there is nothing fancy going on in terms of design. It has a punch-hole display which Huawei has been using for quite some time now. The back panel has quad cameras with a square-like shaped module, similar to the Mate 20 series. Blass added that it will be like the Huawei Nova 5i Pro which was announced earlier this year.
Lastly, we have the Huawei Porsche collaboration special edition smartphone which is likely to be known as the Mate 30 Porsche RS edition. It will be a premium phone which is evident from leaked press renders. It seems to have a leather back with Red and Black colors to choose from. There is a long strip in the center which houses the quad-camera setup, Leica branding, Porsche branding, and Huawei branding. The LED flash is outside this strip and on the top left corner. The front panel shows similar notch and waterfall display design as the Mate 30 Pro.
These are all the Mate 30 lineup press renders that have been leaked. We already know that the Mate 30 series will mark the commercial debut of HiSilicon Kirin 990 processor and is likely to have 5G connectivity support too. We will also see EMUI 10 global release at the same event on September 19th in Munich, Germany. The most important bit of information is that the series will be arriving without any Google apps or services.
