Vivo is one of the few Android OEMs with multiple 5G smartphones in its portfolio and is ready to add one more. The Vivo X30 is a phone that has been part of rumors for quite some time and as per a new leak, it will be a 5G-capable smartphone. The latest leak is coming from a Chinese tipster who shared a bunch of images revealing different information.
The first thing that the leak confirms that this upcoming phone will indeed be called the Vivo X30. It is likely to come with Samsung's recently unveiled Exynos 980 5G processor. It is one of the select processors that comes with an integrated 5G modem which eliminates the need of adding the modem separately. It means it is unlikely that we will see a 4G LTE variant of the smartphone.
The leak further shows that the Vivo X30 will have a bezel-less display with no notch and no punch-hole display. It means we will see Vivo continuing with the pop-up selfie camera mechanism. The back panel of the smartphone is shown with a vertically-aligned triple rear camera setup. Both of these design choices are similar to the previously released Vivo X27. It is quite possible that the X30 might actually be its successor.
Lastly, the leak suggests that the Vivo X30 smartphone will be made official sometime in December 2019. It should be noted that this launch timeline is more likely for the Chinese launch event. We will have to wait and see if the global release plans are shared at the same event or sometime later.
