Redmi is expected to bring its first 5G phone in the market to add fuel to the growing competition. The sub-brand of Xiaomi has already confirmed that this is going to be the Redmi K30 that will have 5G support. It was revealed that the phone has dual punch-holes on the display that carry two cameras, but nothing else was disclosed. Now, a set of images has surfaced that offer a full-fledged look of the front of the alleged device, though they are not too clear in appearance. The images also reveal some key details that you may be interested in knowing.
One of the alleged live images of the Redmi K30 shows the device features a 6.66-inch display with a 1080x2400 pixel resolution. The exact name of the processor is unknown but going by the mentioned GPU which is Adreno 618, it could be either Snapdragon 730 or the Snapdragon 730G.
The image reveals one more key information and it is the 120Hz refresh rate. It is interesting to note that the device is chasing such the highest number in refresh rate and joining others which are expected to come with 120Hz as well. This goes in line with what was recently spotted by XDA Developers by digging into the MIUI 11 code. While confirming the 120Hz refresh rate, the site managed to confirm the existence of the side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a Sony IMX686 image sensor.
Going by the leaked images, the Redmi K30 will have the Display Settings menu where users will be able to switch between 60Hz and 120Hz. The menu also mentions that switching to a lower refresh rate will save batter. Users will also be able to turn on reading mode and dark mode.
The About page that is shown in the image reveals the Redmi K30 is running MIUI 11 version 9.11.18. This variant also has 64GB of storage and is most likely the base model.
