OnePlus is rumored to be working on at least three smartphones named OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, and OnePlus 8 Lite for its 2020 lineup. The last one is said to be an affordable model with a focus on delivering the best possible specs at the cheapest possible pricing. And now, it is time for a new leak coming from Weibo that reveals detailed specifications for all three OnePlus smartphone models.
Starting with the standard OnePlus 8, it is said to sport a 6.44-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 6. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor with a Snapdragon X50 5G modem for 5G connectivity. There will be different configuration options offering up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB onboard storage.
It will have a triple camera setup featuring a 60-megapixel camera, a 12-megapixel camera, and a 16-megapixel camera. The selfie camera is said to be a 32-megapixel shooter. The whole package will be powered by a 4,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. It will also be compatible with IP53 rating and NFC connectivity and have an in-display fingerprint scanner. The OnePlus 8 is said to cost CNY 3,299 for the 8GB/128GB base model and CNY 3,999 for the 8GB/256GB high-end model.
The OnePlus 8 Pro will be the most expensive variant among all three. It is said to have a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ (3180 x 1440 pixels) with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will have the same processor and configuration variants as the standard OnePlus 8. The triple rear camera setup will have a 60-megapixel sensor, a 16-megapixel sensor, and a 13-megapixel sensor. There will be a dual selfie camera setup featuring a 32-megapixel camera and a ToF depth sensor housed within a punch hole.
Interestingly, the Pro model is said to have dual 2,250mAh batteries that will offer a cumulative battery capacity of 4,500mAh. It will be supported by 50W Super Warp fast charging tech for faster charging. The OnePlus 8 Pro is said to cost CNY 4,499 for 8GB/128GB, CNY 4,999 for 8GB/256GB, and CNY 5,499 for 12GB/512GB variants respectively.
Lastly, the OnePlus 8 Lite will be the most affordable phone in the lineup. It will have a 6.4-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) display with a 90Hz resolution and punch-hole for housing the selfie camera. Under the hood, it will be powered by the MediaTek 1000 processor paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options.
It will also have a triple camera setup but with 48-megapixel, 16-megapixel, and 12-megapixel camera sensors. The whole package is powered by a 4,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. It will have a USB Type-C port and IP53 water and dust resistance rating. The pricing is said to be CNY 2,999 and CNY 3,299 for 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB respectively.
The most important thing to keep in mind is that all of these are leaks and just like any other leak, one should take them with a pinch of salt.
