We are getting closer to the time when Huawei unveils a new P-series Android flagship. It is widely reported to announce Huawei P40 series this year with a focus on camera performance as it has been the case so far. Now, 91Mobiles has published a report featuring an alleged Huawei P40 render revealing the design.
The front panel design reveals that Huawei P40 will sport a punch-hole display. It is a major change from previous generation offerings as they were released with notches. It is a pill-shaped punch-hole on the top left corner and houses dual selfie cameras. This is undoubtedly a new design approach for the new flagship from Huawei. The display panel is tipped to be curved from all four sides that will offer it a distinctive look.
The smartphone is shown with a triple camera setup on the back panel. It has been developed in collaboration with Leica which is one of the signature aspects of P-series smartphones. The P40 Pro variant is reported to offer quad rear cameras along with up to 10x optical zoom. It will have a periscopic camera module for achieving high-quality zoom capabilities. The main camera is rumored to be of 52-megapixels which will merge four surrounding pixels to deliver 13MP still images.
Many other details about the Huawei P40 series are still missing. It is unknown when these will be launching but the launch is tipped to be around March 2020. It is worth noting that the P40 series is confirmed to arrive without Google apps and services like the Mate 30 lineup.
