Samsung Pay is a convenient method of making purchases and was introduced many years back with it making its debut in South Korea in 2015. It wasn’t long until it made its way to the U.S, China, and even India. Did you know that Samsung Pay is available in 19 official markets? Over time, this concept grew and evolved and today one can even use its web checkout feature when making online purchases. Well, it seems like it continues to expand as Samsung Pay has been officially launched in Mexico.
This might get you thinking as and you make take a trip down memory lane and remember the Samsung Pay site for Mexico which was posted. Later it was removed. This took place in late November last year and was probably a way of soft-launching the service. Well, speculation had it that it would launch in Mexico and now it is official.
Samsung Pay will work the same in Mexico as it does normally everywhere else, at any place where a card can be swiped. The supported banks in Mexico for Samsung Pay includes Banorte, Banregio, Citibanamex, HSBC, and Santander. If you want to use NFC and MST technology, you can but you will need to do so with a device which has the supporting hardware. Devices like the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro and even the Samsung Galaxy A8 work with MST. It’s good to see a feature like Samsung Pay reaching out to more users in different countries.
