The Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ will be unveiled in less than two weeks from now but the leaks and rumors are far from stopping. The two devices will be successors to the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ and the invite states that the camera will be emphasized this time as well. The device has already leaked in photo samples, color variants, battery capacities, and official covers. However, a new leak shows off the user manual of the company’s new fast wireless charger.
Samsung’s EP-N5100 will be the company’s new fast wireless charger that will possibly be released alongside the new flagship devices. The new wireless charger will be slightly thinner, flatter, and faster than the current fast charger available for the Galaxy S8. Samsung continues to use the Qi standard for the charger as well.
The design reveals that the company has used only two charging coils in the device, instead of three in the predecessor. The two coils are stacked on top of each other so that users can charge the device in different positions. The wireless charger supports 9V/2A, 9V/1.67A, and 12V/2.1A charging. However, WinFuture found that the device’s output is below 15W even in the 9V operation region, which is the same as the predecessor. The new charger might cost around 75 Euros ($92) and will be available in white and black color options.
As for another rumor, the Galaxy S9 is said to sport not just one, but dual speakers with dual Dolby Surround speakers tuned by AKG. This will bring stereo speakers to the Galaxy S family for the first time. This feature was expected to launch with the Galaxy S8 last year, however, fans were disappointed when it was not present. The Bixby Vision is also claimed to feature the ability to translate text in real-time with the help of Google Translate. We are yet to confirm these two rumors, but would you like to see them on the upcoming flagship?
