25 July 2018 4

Samsung's next Galaxy Unpacked event for the year has been confirmed for quite some time now. It has been scheduled for August 9th where it will be announcing the next-generation phablet Galaxy Note 9. It is meant to be a global launch but if you are specifically interested in phablet's arrival in the Indian market, there is a new report from 91Mobiles shedding some light on it.

The report claims that Samsung will be launching the Galaxy Note 9 in India within a week of its global unveiling. Any specific date has not been mentioned but the event is expected to take place between August 12th and August 16th. It further mentions that Galaxy Note 9 preorders in India will start from August 19th which is like soon after the release. These pre-orders will go on for the whole month with official sales starting during the first week of September.

It is said that with each preorder, Samsung will be offering some goodies which are unknown at the moment. If we have to guess, there is a good chance that these free goodies will most likely be some kind of official accessory. As for the pricing, the Galaxy Note 9 is said to cost anywhere between Rs. 70,000 (about $1016) to Rs. 75,000 (about $1089) in the country. Lastly, it speculates that the phablet is expected to carry a sticker price of Rs. 72,990 (about $1060).

If we talk about the specifications, the Galaxy Note 9 is rumored to sport a 6.4-inch Quad HD+ display which should be a Super AMOLED panel. It should feature the Exynos 9810 processor in the Indian market and Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 for selected markets including the United States. There is likely to be 6GB RAM along with up to 256GB storage options. It will be offering a dual rear camera setup and is reported to be powered by a 4000mAh battery.
